Unbelievable, january is already over and nothing changed, all the good habits we have in mind…changes we wanna make! BUT it isn´t easy to develop especially when you are stuck – in what you are doing…the daily business which means taking care about our family, husband, kid(s), household, garden, grocery, laundry, own business or working schedule – but stop, where is my “me” time? What is my me time actually and what do I expect from it?Why it is so important and why do I read everywhere about it? Yesterday I met a friend for a walk – it is forbidden at the moment – so I didn´t felt comfortable, but it was needed. And you know, what she answered, when I asked here where from she gets all her positive attitude and energy? “Every morning you can decide, wheather you stand up or not, but every morning there will be sth. waiting for you which lifts you up and makes you happy!” This is so true! And later she texted me, that the best today was meeting me for a walk! We have to take care about our friendship, even more in these difficult times!
Today my cousin posted a story on Instagram “let´s open the window and let in the sun, time over for winterblues” – she just received her first baby and felt into depression. So I think this was a great start today for her and each mum of us, has her moments, hours, sometimes days feeling loss of energy, feeling empty and is asking herself, where is my “me” time, what is this? The answer I found out now, it is not the weekend you are waiting for to spend in a hideway with your husband or a good friend, it isn´t the 2hs SPA or the wellness day – or the 1,5h YOGA class or meditation. It is your cup of coffee, outside in the sun or sitting at the window, it is the 15min bath with might be a candle and a book or the 10min breathing in the morning before everybody get´s up or the journaling. My “me” time are the little things up from now on, this fills me up…and therefor is time every day, I only need to value myself enough to do it. And I am pretty sure, you will find out as well!
